This guide is designed to help you establish and manage alumni chapters for the City Engineering College Alumni Association (CECAA). What is an Alumni Chapter?

Alumni chapters are social or professional networking groups created by and for CECAA members. These chapters aim to bring together graduates to engage in local events, activities, and initiatives.
They serve as valuable information hubs, making communication between alumni and the college more efficient. Chapters also act as local points of contact for alumni, prospective students, current students, and their families.

How Do Chapters Work?

Alumni chapters welcome all CECAA members and can be established anywhere around the world. Most chapters are organized geographically—based on a specific city, region, or country. However, they can also be formed around shared interests such as academic departments, career fields, sports, or other common areas.
Some chapters may have both a geographic and thematic focus. For example, a chapter based in a particular city may predominantly consist of alumni from a specific department. In such cases, chapter leaders are encouraged to ensure inclusivity by organizing a mix of events—some open to all local alumni, and others tailored to specific academic or professional interests.
