About the Department
The Department of Information Science and Engineering started in the year 2020 with an approved intake of 30, enhanced to 60 from the academic year 2022-23, 120 from the academic year 2023-24, and 150 in the year 2024-25. The Department has qualified and dedicated faculty members focused on academic excellence. The faculty have published research articles in various national and international journals, including IEEE conferences and journals indexed in SCOPUS, Web of Science, and other prestigious research databases.The department has modern laboratories to serve the teaching needs of both students and faculty members. It proactively organizes conferences, workshops, expert lectures, and student-centric activities to encourage lifelong learning among students and faculty.
The department faculty are pioneers in leading research areas such as Cyber Security, AI, Data Science, Computer Vision, Computer Networks, and Database Systems. Many faculty members hold high merit in terms of published books, awards, and publications in prestigious journals.
