Dr. H. N. Thippeswamy

Professor and Head, Ph.D Specialized in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering. Dr. Thippeswamy has 30 years of teaching and 10 years of industrial experience. He has published several research papers in reputed National and International Journals. He has served as a member of:

• Board of Studies – Karnataka University, Dharwad
• Board of Studies – Christ University, Bangalore
• Board of Examiners – VTU, Belgaum
• LIC – VTU, Belgaum

He has worked at various institutes including JMIT-Chitradurga, STJIT-Ranebennur, NIIT-Davangere, BCET-Bangalore, NHCE-Bangalore, TJIT-Bangalore, and CEC-Bangalore. Dr. Thippeswamy encourages his students—THE BUDDING ENGINEERS—to AIM high, THINK high, and WORK hard to achieve their goals, adding to the growth of both the Institution and the Country. He motivates students to read autobiographies of great people and become ACHIEVERS in life. He believes in positive thinking, hard work, self-belief, and that "Gratitude is the best attitude." He currently serves as Professor and Head of Civil Engineering after completing his tenure as Principal of City Engineering College on 31-01-2024.

Mr. Vinay Kumar S N

Assistant Professor, MTech Specialized in Environmental Engineering. Mr. Vinay Kumar completed his post-graduation from BU and graduation from VTU. He has 8 years of teaching experience, published three papers in journals, and attended several workshops, seminars, and faculty development programmes. He is a lifetime member of ISTE and currently works as Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department.

Mr. Shivakumar H M

Assistant Professor, MTech Specialized in Construction Technology and Management. Mr. Shivakumar completed his post-graduation from EPCT and graduation from VTU. He has 3 years of teaching experience, published two papers, and attended numerous workshops, seminars, and faculty development programmes. He has experience as a site engineer and has worked at Brindavan Group of Institutes and RJS Group of Institutes. He is a lifetime member of ACCE and currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department.

Abstract: The study focuses on traffic congestion between Konanakunte Cross Junction and Bannerghatta Road. The research, conducted with the cooperation of local traffic police and engineering colleges, identifies key areas of congestion and suggests short, medium, and long-term improvements. The project was affected by COVID-19 but sets the stage for further research in traffic management.

Abstract: This research evaluates accident potential and safety conditions on selected urban roads in Bangalore. It proposes a new checklist for road safety audits, identifies hazards and deficiencies, and highlights the lack of authority or codes for auditing urban roads compared to highways.
