City Engineering College (CEC) conducts the extension activities regularly to sensitize the students about the social issues. In connection to this CEC has received awards and recognitions from various prestigious bodies and some of the awards and recognitions received are listed below:

1. CEC has received appreciation certificate from BBMP, Bangalore rural for students participating in “Protecting children from tobacco industry interference” on world tobacco day 31st May 2024.
2. CEC National Service Scheme (NSS) cell received Appreciation certificate from Rotary Bangalore, Blood Centre for distinguished voluntary blood donation.
3. CEC received letter of appreciation from YAS National High School, Subramanyapura, Bangalore for the extension activities “School Bell” conducted for School children.
4. CEC received letter of appreciation for the students from the CSE Department who volunteered at Marthoma Opportunity School, Bangalore, engaging with specially abled children.
5. CEC received an appreciation letter from Government High School Agara, Bangalore, for its ‘School Bell’ campaign, which provides tutoring and mentoring support to underprivileged students in government schools.
6. CEC received letter of appreciation for conducting extension activities like Agara Lake Cleaning, Digital awareness program, Plastic awareness program and Plantation drive in Agara Grama panchayat Area.
7. CEC received appreciation for conducting extension community activities aimed at empowering local communities by distributing Beehive Boxes to local farmers in Lingapura, K Gollahalli Panchayath, Kengeri Hobli.
